1. Who you’re dealing with

2. What a license gives you

A paid license entitles you, for its term, to: software updates, our support, and the right to activate the product on the number of sites or terminals your plan allows. Licenses are annual unless stated otherwise.

Our plugins are open-source (GPL). The WordPress plugins are licensed under the GNU General Public License; your rights to use, modify, and self-host the plugin code come from that license and are not restricted by these terms. What your paid license buys is the ongoing service around the software — updates, support, and the convenience of automatic delivery — not permission to run the code.

You keep what you bought. If your license lapses, the software you have installed keeps working. What stops is new updates and support until you renew. We will never remotely disable software you have already installed.

3. Payment, renewal, and taxes

Prices are shown in US dollars (USD) unless stated otherwise. Payment is processed by our payment provider, [[PROCESSOR]]; your purchase may also be subject to their terms. Applicable taxes (including Canadian GST/HST) are added at checkout or handled by our provider as merchant of record. 4. Refunds — 30-day money-back guarantee

If a product doesn’t work out, email support@studiotoolbox.com within 30 days of your purchase and we will refund it in full — no arguments about whether you used it. This applies to first-time purchases of a product. It does not cover: renewals of a license you already chose to keep, or clearly abusive cases (for example, buying, downloading, and immediately requesting a refund repeatedly). Refunds go back to your original payment method within [[N]] business days.

This guarantee is our own policy and is in addition to any rights you have under applicable Canadian consumer-protection law, which are not affected by it.

5. Support

What our support covers and doesn’t is described on our Support page and forms part of these terms. In short: installation, configuration, and bugs are covered for active licenses; custom development and third-party conflicts beyond diagnosis are not.

6. Demos and acceptable use

Our live demos are shared, temporary environments for evaluating the software. Don’t use them to store real or sensitive data, don’t attempt to attack, overload, or gain unauthorized access to them or our systems, and don’t use them to break the law. We may reset or withdraw a demo at any time.

7. Your data

How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. Data your own studio processes using our software stays on your own site or hardware — you control it, and you are responsible for handling it lawfully.

8. Warranty and liability

We work hard to make the software reliable, but to the extent the law allows, it is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, and our total liability to you for any claim relating to the products or this website is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including certain rights under Canadian consumer-protection legislation.

9. Termination

You can stop using the products and close your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these terms (for example, abusing the demos or infringing our rights). Your installed open-source software is unaffected by any such action, consistent with its license.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of [[PROVINCE]] and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, and the courts of [[PROVINCE]] have jurisdiction, without affecting mandatory consumer rights in your own place of residence.

11. Changes

We may update these terms; we will post changes here with a new date, and material changes affecting existing customers will be emailed. Continuing to use the products after a change means you accept the updated terms.
