Terms of Service

Effective: May 1, 2026. These terms apply to your purchase and use of Studio Toolbox products and this website. If you buy or use them, you accept these terms.

1. Who you are dealing with

Studio Toolbox Limited supplies Studio Toolbox products. The company is registered in Ontario, Canada. Our mailing address is 126C Main Street N, Markham, ON L3P 1Y1, Canada. These terms call it “we” and “us”. To contact us, write to support@studiotoolbox.com.

2. What a license gives you

A paid license gives you three things for its term:

  • software updates
  • support from us
  • the right to activate the product on the number of sites or terminals that your plan allows

A license lasts one year unless we state a different term.

Our plugins are open source (GPL). The GNU General Public License covers the WordPress plugins. That license gives you the right to use, change, and self-host the plugin code. These terms do not limit those rights. Your paid license buys the service around the software: updates, support, and automatic delivery. It does not buy permission to run the code.

You keep what you bought. If your license expires, the software that you installed continues to work. Updates and support stop until you renew. We never disable software that you already installed.

3. Payment, renewal, and taxes

We show prices in US dollars (USD) unless we state a different currency. Paddle.com Market Ltd processes your payment as the merchant of record. Paddle is the seller of record for the transaction, and the Paddle buyer terms also apply to your purchase.

Paddle calculates and collects the sales tax for your location. This can be VAT, GST, HST, or a state or local sales tax. The checkout shows the tax before you pay.

A license renews automatically each year at the price in effect on the renewal date. We send a reminder email 21 days before each renewal. To stop a renewal, cancel it in your account before the renewal date.

4. Refunds

We give a 15-day money-back guarantee on your first purchase of a product. If a product does not work for you, write to support@studiotoolbox.com in the first 15 days after your purchase. We refund the full amount. Our Refund Policy gives the full rules and forms part of these terms.

This guarantee is our own policy. It adds to your rights under Ontario and Canadian consumer protection law. It does not replace or limit those rights.

5. Support

Our Support page describes what support covers. That description is part of these terms. Support covers installation, configuration, and bugs for active licenses. Support does not cover custom development. Support does not cover third-party conflicts after we identify the cause.

6. Demos and acceptable use

Our live demos are shared, temporary environments for evaluation of the software. Obey these rules:

  • Do not store real or sensitive data in a demo.
  • Do not attack or overload the demos or our systems.
  • Do not try to get unauthorized access.
  • Do not use a demo to break the law.

We can reset or remove a demo at any time.

7. Your data

Our Privacy Policy describes how we handle personal data. The software processes the data of your own studio on your own site or your own hardware. You control that data. You are responsible to handle it lawfully.

8. Warranty and liability

We work to make the software reliable. To the limit that the law allows, we supply the software “as is” and give no warranty of any kind. Our total liability to you for a claim about the products or this website is limited to the amount that you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. The law does not allow some liability to be limited. This includes rights under Canadian consumer protection legislation. These terms do not limit that liability.

9. Termination

You can stop use of the products and close your account at any time. We can suspend or end your access if you break these terms in a material way. Examples are abuse of the demos and infringement of our rights. The open source license of the software that you installed continues to apply after any such action.

10. Governing law

The laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there govern these terms. The courts of Ontario have jurisdiction. This does not affect the consumer rights of your own place of residence.

11. Changes

We can update these terms. We post each change here with a new date. We send an email to account holders about a material change that affects them. If you continue to use the products after a change, you accept the new terms.
