Booking Site Terms

Effective: October 9, 2026. These terms apply to the Studio Toolbox booking site service. If you choose one of your demo sites, subscribe, or use the service, you accept these terms.

1. Who you are dealing with

Studio Toolbox Limited supplies the service. The company is registered in Ontario, Canada. Our mailing address is 126C Main Street N, Markham, ON L3P 1Y1, Canada. These terms call it “we” and “us”, and they call the business that subscribes “you”. To contact us, write to support@studiotoolbox.com.

The service is for businesses. When you subscribe, you confirm that you use the service for your business.

2. What the service is

The service is a booking website for your business. We operate the website for you. It runs our booking software and the add-ons that your plan includes. The service includes:

  • hosting of the website
  • updates of the software and of the website
  • security updates
  • backups
  • support from us

Our website lists the plans, the add-ons, and the features of each. Our Service Rules give the limits.

We manage the website. You choose your website style and we provide the software to turn it into an online booking system. You manage your bookings, your activities, and your content in your own account on the website. To change the design or the structure, ask us.

3. Your demo sites

Before you pay, we build demo sites of your booking website from our studio template, one in each style that you pick (up to two). We use the text and pictures of your current website, with your permission, and your answers to our questions. We do not charge for the demo sites or for this work.

When you give us your content, you give us permission to use it to make your demo sites and, later, your website. You confirm that you have the right to give that permission.

We send you a link to your demo sites. The link works for 7 days. To go ahead, choose one of your demo sites within those 7 days.

We then send you your contract package with a link to pay for your plan. The package holds your plan and its price, our Service Rules (the limits of the service, the content that is not allowed, and when we can suspend a website), and our Data Processing Agreement. They form part of these terms, and you accept them when you pay. Your subscription starts when you pay. We then build the demo site that you chose again, on our servers, as your website. Changes that you make inside the demo are not kept.

When the link ends, or at once if you ask, we delete your demo sites and our copy of your content. If you chose a demo site, we keep it and your content until you pay, or for 7 days if you do not pay. Then we delete it. We keep your request and your confirmation, which show that you gave us permission, as our Privacy Policy describes.

4. Your content and your data

You own your content. This includes your logo, photos, text, and activities. You also own the data that your website collects. This includes the data of your customers, your bookings, and your sales.

You give us permission to store, copy, and show your content and your data, but only to operate the service for you.

For the personal data of your customers and your staff, you are the controller and we are your processor. Our Data Processing Agreement describes how we handle that data. We send it to you with your payment link, and it forms part of these terms.

You can download your data at any time from your account on the website. This includes your customers, your orders, and your booking lists.

5. Your responsibilities

  • Connect your own payment account (for example Stripe or Square) to receive payments from your customers. Your customers pay you directly. We do not receive, hold, or send their payments.
  • Give your customers your own terms and policies, for example your cancellation rules. You are responsible for refunds to your customers.
  • Collect the personal data of your customers lawfully. Get consent where the law requires it. This applies especially to data about children, for example the name and age of a child at a party.
  • Keep your content accurate and lawful. Do not use the service to send spam, to break the law, or to infringe the rights of another person. Our Service Rules list the content that is not allowed.
  • Keep your login details secure. Tell us at once if you think that another person uses your account.
  • Do not try to get access to the parts of the website that we manage, or to other websites that we operate.

6. Prices, payment, and taxes

You pay for your plan and your add-ons each month or each year. We show prices in US dollars (USD). For a business in Canada, we show prices in Canadian dollars (CAD).

Paddle.com Market Ltd processes your payment as the merchant of record. Paddle is the seller of record for the transaction, and the Paddle buyer terms also apply to your payment. Paddle calculates and collects the sales tax for your location. The checkout shows the tax before you pay.

Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period. We send a reminder email 21 days before each annual renewal. To stop a renewal, cancel your subscription before the renewal date. You can cancel in two ways:

  • Use the link in your Paddle receipt email.
  • Write to our support team, and we cancel for you.

7. Price guarantee

Your prices do not change for the first 24 months of your subscription. This applies to your plan and to your add-ons.

After 24 months, we can change your prices. We send you an email at least 30 days before a change. The new price applies from your first renewal after that notice. If you do not accept the new price, cancel before that renewal.

The checkout shows the amount of each renewal. That amount is the price that applies when you pay. This section tells you when that price can change.

8. Refunds

You can get a full refund in two cases:

  • You write to us in the first 15 days after your first payment.
  • You pay for a year, and you write to us in the first 15 days after an annual renewal.

In other cases, we do not refund a payment. Our Refund Policy gives the full rules and forms part of these terms. When we refund a payment, your subscription ends as section 10 describes.

9. Failed payments

If a payment fails, Paddle tries to collect it again and sends you an email. Your website stays online during that time. If Paddle cannot collect the payment, your subscription ends as section 10 describes.

10. The end of the service

If you cancel, the cancellation takes effect at the end of the period that you paid for.

When your subscription ends:

  1. Your website goes offline to the public. It stops sending email, and its scheduled tasks stop. This includes reminders to your customers.
  2. You can still sign in to your account for 30 days to download your data.
  3. After those 30 days, we delete your website, your content, and your data.
  4. Copies of your data in our backups are deleted within 30 days after that.

Bookings that your customers made before the end still exist in your data. Tell those customers about the change yourself.

You keep your data and your own content. The design of our template and our software stay with us. We do not give you a copy of the website files or of the software.

Your domain name is yours. You register it and keep it. We only need its DNS settings to point to our service. When you leave, you point them elsewhere.

Our WordPress plugins are open source (GPL). The service does not include a copy of the software for use outside the service.

11. Availability and support

We work to keep your website available and fast. We do not promise a specific uptime. We sometimes take the website offline for a short time for maintenance. When we can, we do this at a quiet time and tell you before.

For support, write to support@studiotoolbox.com. We answer within one business day, Monday to Friday, except Canadian public holidays.

12. Warranty and liability

We work to make the service reliable. To the limit that the law allows, we supply the service “as is” and give no other warranty.

We are not liable for indirect loss. Examples are lost profit, lost bookings, and lost data that you could have downloaded. Our total liability to you for a claim about the service is limited to the amount that you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. The law does not allow some liability to be limited. These terms do not limit that liability.

13. Governing law

The laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there govern these terms. The courts of Ontario have jurisdiction.

14. Changes to these terms

We can update these terms. We post each change on this page with a new date. We send you an email at least 30 days before a material change takes effect. If you continue to use the service after that date, you accept the new terms. A change to the Service Rules or the Data Processing Agreement reaches you by email in the same way, with the new version.
