What the plugin sends

• Publish — every scheduled staff member gets their shifts for the week, plus your staff message (publishing).
• "What changed" diffs — targeted, per-person added/removed lists when you press Notify affected staff.
• Trades and time off — updates to the people involved as things are posted, claimed, accepted, approved, or denied; the manager is copied on completed trades.
• Shift reminders — optional: set "hours before a shift" in Settings (blank = off).
• Account emails — temporary passwords when you add staff or reset a password.

Mail is queued and sent in batches in the background, so publishing a big week is never slow.

Delivery is your site's job

The plugin hands mail to WordPress; whether it lands depends on how your site sends mail. Bare WordPress mail often ends up in spam. If mail is missing or spammy, install an SMTP plugin (e.g. WP Mail SMTP) pointed at your mail provider — the Settings screen carries the same advice. Once SMTP is configured, your provider's log shows exactly what was sent.
