Settings reference
Schedules → Settings, in four tabs. Each tab saves on its own — a Save on one never touches the others, so you can change one thing and leave the rest alone.
Site
How the studio runs. One form, one Save settings button.
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Day window | Earliest–latest schedulable times (default 10:30–21:30). The painter and builder grids span exactly this window. |
| Granularity | The painting/scheduling grid step: 15 or 30 minutes (default 15). |
| Week starts on | The weekday your schedule weeks begin (default Monday; a fresh install adopts your WordPress week-start setting). Choose it before you start scheduling. Every stored week is keyed to its first day, so once real schedules or painted availability exist, changing this means deleting them — Settings then replaces the plain picker with a confirmation listing exactly what would go (schedule weeks, painted availability, trades still live on the tradeboard, and any example data). Saved templates are kept and shifted so they still land on the weekdays you drew them for. |
| Active days | Which weekdays exist in the painter and builder. |
| Roles | One per line. Your staff have roles — an opener can unlock in the morning, a closer can close at night. A shift can be marked as needing a role, and then only staff who hold it are eligible; a shift with no role is open to anyone. Enforced in the builder and on the tradeboard. |
| Event catalogue | The event types offered when creating an event. |
| Trade approval | Manual — a manager approves every trade/drop (Approvals); Auto — accepted trades complete on their own. |
| Shift reminders | Hours before a shift to email a reminder; blank = off. |
| Email delivery | Advisory note — use an SMTP plugin for reliable delivery. |
| Uninstall | Opt-in: delete all plugin data when the plugin is uninstalled (data & privacy). |
Builder
Everything about the schedule builder.
Your display is yours alone — each user sets their own, and these apply the moment you change them, with no Save.

| Colour theme (Your display) | Your palette for the builder. 12- or 24-hour times in wp-admin follow your WordPress Settings → General → Time Format; staff, who never see wp-admin, pick their own in portal Options. |
| Builder how-to (Your display) | Appears once you've dismissed the tip above the day cards. Show it again brings it back — for you, not for everyone. |
| Default theme | The palette a user sees until they pick their own. |
| Assignment assist — PRO | Assist's targets: weekly shift target, min/target/max hours, event arrive-early / stay-after minutes. |
| Sample data | Only while the example data a fresh install ships with is still there: how many example staff and weeks, and Remove sample data. The row disappears for good once removed. |
Integration
The two read-only ways to get the published schedule out of the plugin. Each has its own Save.
