✨ Assignment assist

PRO requires the Pro add-on.

One click drafts the week's unassigned shifts from painted availability. Assist:

favours hours people painted Prefer, avoids Dislike where it can, and never places anyone on approved time off;
respects qualifier requirements (opener/closer shifts go to qualified people), with a 30-minute grace at the edges — someone available from 10:00 can still open a 9:45 shift;
spreads shifts and hours fairly across the team, steering toward the targets you set (weekly shift target, min/target/max hours — see the settings reference);
staffs around events using the arrive-early / stay-after margins.

It's a draft, not a decision

Assist assigns into the builder and stops — nothing is published, and you can adjust anything. It also tells you which shifts it couldn't staff, so gaps are explicit.

Re-run it freely. Assist remembers which assignments were its own: running it again re-solves those while leaving everything you placed by hand exactly where you put it. Hand-tune a few anchors, re-run, repeat.
