Common issues

/staff shows a 404. The portal route needs your permalinks refreshed once: WordPress Settings → Permalinks → Save Changes. Happens mostly after manual installs or site migrations.

A staff member can't log in — "try again later". Five failed attempts within 15 minutes lock that username from that network for 15 minutes. Wait it out, or email them a fresh temporary password from the roster meanwhile.

Emails aren't arriving (or land in spam). Delivery is your site's mail setup, not the plugin — install an SMTP plugin pointed at your mail provider (emails). Afterwards your provider's log shows exactly what was sent.

Staff say the availability painter is locked. That week's schedule is published — availability locks at publish. They should paint an upcoming week; if the current week genuinely needs repainting, unpublish it first.

A shift isn't showing in someone's calendar app. Feeds carry published shifts only, and the personal feed carries only that person's own. Calendar apps also refresh on their own schedule — Google can take hours (calendar feeds).

Times look shifted in a calendar app. Check the Timezone setting — feeds are emitted in the studio timezone, which may differ from the WordPress site timezone (settings reference).

The POS shows nobody working today. Is today's week actually published? Draft days are served empty. Then check the health line under Settings → POS integration (POS integration).
