The Tradeboard
Can't make a shift? Put it on the board. The board works a day or more ahead — never same-day — and only with published shifts.
Putting a shift up
From Your upcoming shifts, choose:
- Put up to drop — anyone qualified can Claim it outright and it becomes theirs.
- Put up to trade — others respond with Offer swap, proposing one of their own shifts; you pick which offer to Accept.
Changed your mind? Take down removes your posting any time before it completes.
Taking someone's shift
The Open board lists what's available. You can only take shifts you're qualified for and that don't clash with a shift you already have ("Can't take —" tells you why). If the shift falls in hours you painted unavailable, you'll see a soft warning — you can still claim it, knowingly.
Approval and completion
Depending on the site's trade approval setting, completed drops and accepted swaps either finish automatically or wait for a manager ("Awaiting manager approval") on the Approvals screen. When a trade completes, everyone involved gets an email — including the manager.
Postings whose shift day arrives without completing expire off the board automatically — the schedule stays as published, so the original owner still works it.
